Dear SVUSD Community, As you may be aware, today Orange County reverted back to the purple tier of the state’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy COVID-19 tracking system. The purple tier is the most restrictive level, indicating widespread transmission and calls for many non-essential businesses to cease their indoor operations. As the Blueprint for a Safer Economy states, schools that have reopened for in-person instruction are not required to close if their county moves back ...to the Widespread (purple) tier. As such, all SVUSD schools will continue to operate in the Hybrid Learning format that we are currently utilizing. As we move into the purple tier, it is imperative that we all continue to adhere to health and safety protocols, including the usage of face coverings, frequent hand washing and the adherence to physical distancing. I’d encourage you to please reiterate the importance of following these guidelines with your students as we navigate through this latest change together. Thank you, Crystal Turner, Ed.D. Superintendent ************************************************* Estimada comunidad del SVUSD, Como ya sabrá, hoy el Condado de Orange volvió al nivel púrpura del sistema de seguimiento COVID-19 del Plan estatal Para una Economía Más Segura. El nivel púrpura es el nivel más restrictivo, lo que indica una transmisión generalizada y exige que muchas empresas no esenciales cesen sus operaciones en interiores. Como establece el Plan Para una Economía Más Segura, las escuelas que han reabierto para recibir instrucción en persona no están obligadas a cerrar si su condado regresa al nivel generalizado (púrpura). Como tal, todas las escuelas del SVUSD continuarán operando en el formato de Aprendizaje Híbrido que estamos utilizando actualmente. A medida que avanzamos hacia el nivel púrpura, es imperativo que todos sigamos cumpliendo con los protocolos de salud y seguridad, incluido el uso de cubiertas para la cara, el lavado frecuente de manos y el cumplimiento del distanciamiento físico.
