Yumi Making workshop in the USA by Munehiro Shibata This workshop is a rare opportunity to create your own authentic Yumi, a Japanese bow, with high quality mat...erials from Kyoto, Japan. This six-day workshop will be lead by a master Yumi maker, Munehiro Shibata. Munehiro was born in Kyoto, the oldest son of Emperor's bowmaker of Japan, the 21st Shibata Kanjuro Sensei. Munehiro entered his father's studio almost 15 years ago as an apprentice. He follows the Kyo-Yumi tradition and 450 years of the lineage of the Kanjuro Shibata family. He brings all materials and special Yumi making knives from Kyoto and teach you to make your original own Yumi! This is his first Yumi making workshop in the U.S.A.
