Hair in the time of Covid. I wonder how the history books will describe this time? How many of you are journaling. As much as we’re going to want to never look back, there are going to be times when you talk about this time with your children or grandchildren. What will you say about how you handled it all? Will you be proud of the character you showed? Things that I’m wondering about myself. I know my granddaughter will remember some things since she’s turning five soon... but hopefully my grandson, who just turned two won’t because it will be long gone by the time he’s old enough. I just hope their future is bright and they remain as beautifully unscathed as before it started. For now, I will do what I can to be a decent human and a good example for them. I guess that’s all any of us can do. P.s I cried like a baby to my mama yesterday and I feel better. So don’t forget to allow yourself a good cry or scream into you pillow, that helps too. Hugs

A piece of my heart @loverissmaree Here I was, a young mama, then wife - so unsure of my future. Probably cutting hair intuitively, barely trained. I’m sure I gave myself this haircut and then probably regretted it. I do know I regret working so much and not having more of these moments. These bits are meant to be embraced and cherished, not rushed. Life is good guys, but it ebbs and flows, hang in there and don’t forget to take delight in it.

Transformation for the birthday girl. She needed a color correction because of a bad experience somewhere else. It felt so good to be able to give her the hair she wanted, just in time for her birthday celebration.

When life gives you lemons.. it’s been a tough year for us all yet we persevere. We make lemonade.. or sourdough bread. Or sometimes, we change our hair color. I was like, wow, when I saw these. Couldn’t decide which one to share, so I had to share them all (last four were taken by me). ... This is a great example of how differently hair photographs depending on the light. A major color correction because I was taking her from a redhead to a blonde which is one of the more challenging transformations. If you know, you know but I luuuuv a good challenge. Now, go make that lemonade!!

Hi! I have so much to say! First off, I’ll let you in on a little secret. I am so happy to be back to work! I know I know, how can I complain about having time off? Well, all I can say is I really missed it and I have a renewed sense of purpose. Speaking of purpose.. Here’s another little tidbit for you - I know how to use a razor. When I’m not coloring hair, you might catch me at it. ... Here’s a sweet, little textured bob I did. She has a lot of hair, which can over power her small features. I carved out some space which opened up her beautiful face and removed weight for some gorgeous movement. I loved cutting her hair and she just sent me a little note telling me how much she loves her hair. That made my day. Last but not least, I’m getting a puppy this weekend. I haven’t had a baby for sometime and I’m super excited. Please wish me luck. And any advice would be amazing !!! See more

Hello! As I'm sure you've heard by now, salons are back! I am beginning to work on my schedule and will be reaching out within the next day or two. Also, please feel free to reach out, I want to make sure to get you on the schedule.... Beyond that I’m excited to reveal I am moving into a private salon suite. It's located in the River Park area inside Sola Salon Studios. Allow me to introduce, The Mane Haven. I'm sure you're going to love it. This is a space that I'll be putting my personal touches on and with that I plan to create a special space for you. I will begin working from my suite beginning this Tuesday. Nees Ave. Suite 110 Fresno 93711 Between Palm and Ingram With Covid- 19 still prevalent in our community, below are some guidelines we must follow for your appointment time: Text upon arrival - please wait in your car. I want what's best for both of us and the common area hallway are currently not allowed. Please wear a mask. We will both need to wear a face mask at ALL times throughout the appointment. I think it’s best when you have one or two hair goalpictures to show your stylist. Too many photos and there’s a tendency to pick parts of each, which usually means it can’t be done. Example: I like the way this sweeps in front of her face but I also like all the layers on top in this one, and maybe a little bit of bangs like this one. Don’t be discouraged but have a clear idea and be open to your stylists suggestions those are usually the best to follow. #2021hairgoals
