If you have any doubt regarding Prop 22 this is a compelling story you should read. This is the Uber/Lyft employees vs independent contractors. This REALLY REALLY hit home with my family. My older brother was 22 years old and his car stalled on the 405 at mid night. A young kid feel asleep after smoking pot and drinking and hit my brothers car at 70 miles an hour. In a second I almost lost both my brothers but my oldest brother was badly burned when the boiling liquids spill...ed all over his body while he was pinned under the car that hit him....... It's a freaken miracle that he wasn't killed. This was over 30 years ago but if there was a ride share company like Uber/lyft back then maybe these lives would not have been changed forever..... Imagine how they both feel? The kid who hit him, has to live with the fact that he almost killed and innocent person and the deep scars that he left behind that will NEVER GO AWAY!
