Can you guess which Early Childhood class has had a recent fascination with birds? Read more about the students' fun bird-themed projects in this week's edition of the Gillispie Sun!

Recently, Grade 4 students held their first Virtual News Team! Students reported on interesting topics like the risks of investing in Gamestop and a huge asteroid that will fly by Earth in March. Parents and peers watched online via Google Meet. Behind the scenes, these tech-savvy fourth-graders handled all of the technology including operating the camera, digital streaming, and managing the electronic props.... Way to go, team!

Goodbye March, and hello April! Welcome back from Spring Break, everyone!

Mrs. Takahashi caught this special moment in Spruce Room. According to Mrs. Takahashi, her co-teacher Mrs. Herrera is organized, always ready to read a book, and has the most genuine laugh as she connects so sweetly with her students! Spruce Room is thankful for you, Mrs. Herrera!

The Grade 6 students have started writing Pen Pal letters back and forth with Mrs. Jimenez's first-grade class! We love that students from different grade levels are finding fun ways to interact, even as we socially distance.

Mr. Lewis has been working hard as master conductor of the amazing orchestra that is Gillispie! Last week, each grade level was recorded as they performed their song for our Virtual Holiday Program.
