The GIFFSD 2019 opening night film, Take Me Home Huey is in the final part in their multi-media project a 216-page hardcover companion book that includes 180 photos. The book launched on March 29th, in honor of National Vietnam War Veterans Day. The heart of the four-part project is a 47-foot U.S. Army Huey helicopter that was shot down in 1969 during a medevac mission in Vietnam - and transformed into a colorful work of art. The evolution of the artistic creation and the s...earch for the surviving crew members is documented in an Emmy-award winning film and supported by a powerful song. The book can be pre-ordered now for $45 by going to: www.takemehomehuey.org. All proceeds will be donated to art therapy programs for military veterans. GIFFSD friends and supporters, please use the code GIFF at checkout to receive a 15% discount.
