When do you need to report COVID-19 illnesses on your 300, 300a and 301 Log or equivalent form? When it comes to covid-19 and reporting it can be tricky. The biggest obstacle is finding out if it was a work-related exposure. If it was a work related exposure it must be reported. How do you determine to the best of your ability? Whether there have been multiple cases of COVID-19 among workers at the place of employment.... The extent to which the employee had contact through work with others, particularly the public. The extent to which the employee was protected by physical distancing and other government approved covid-19 prevention protocols in the workplace. Whether the employee had work related contact with anyone who exhibited symptoms. See more

If you haven’t heard already, on March 12 2021 OSHA unveiled the new COVID-19 National Emphasis Program (NEP) The purpose of this program is to ensure that employees in high hazard industries or work tasks are protected from hazard of contracting COVID-19. High Hazard industries include but not limited to: Physicians and dentist offices Home health care services Hospitals Nursing Care and assisted living facilities... Ambulance services Grocery Stores Meat and Poultry processing facilities General warehousing storage Restaurants And Certain Manufactures The purpose of this program is to increase inspections of these workplaces and OSHA will continue to perform unannacounced inspections.
