March 12, 2020 Dear Valued Patients, Golden Gate Physical Therapy is closely monitoring the developing coronavirus (COVID-19) situation using the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and local health authorities as sources of up-to-date information. We are also notifying all employees and patients about precautions and guidance intended to keep our clinic safe and healthy. Please maintain compliance with the following guidelines at Golden Gate Physical Ther...apy. Exposure: If you or someone in your household has had close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days, please do not visit Golden Gate Physical Therapy. Instead call your physician immediately if you have not already done so. Air Travel: To minimize the potential for illness and exposure, please notify us if you have traveled on domestic and/or international flights to Seattle, China (including Hong Kong and Macau), the Korean Peninsula, Japan, Singapore, Iran or Italy. You should not visit Golden Gate Physical Therapy for at least 14 days after the date of your return to the U.S. If you develop symptoms during the 14 days, you can visit Golden Gate Physical Therapy only after being cleared to do so by your medical provider AND after the 14 days have passed. Personal Preventive Measures: Steps we can all take to protect ourselves and others from infectious diseases: o Stay home if you don’t feel well. o Wash your hands often with soap and water or use hand sanitizer. o Wipe down shared surfaces. o If you haven’t already, get a flu shot. o Avoid contact with others who are sick and wash your hands afterward. o Avoid touching your face and maintain good personal hygiene. o Avoid shaking hands, hugs and kisses. All these precautionary measures are intended to keep our staff and patients safe. We recognize that there may be different requirements and guidance across the internet and for different businesses, but these are the strict guidelines at Golden Gate Physical Therapy. Given the dynamic nature of the COVID-19 virus, we are monitoring and developing guidance. Clinic Preventative Measures: We are taking measures to prevent the spread of infectious disease. We are using CDC approved materials to disinfect all door handles, treatment tables, exercise equipment, and especially all therapist’s hands. Thank you for your compliance. Due to the latest updates regarding the CDC guidelines and restrictions from the City of San Francisco, we have made the decision to close our office for the rest of this week, starting tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17, 2020. At this point, We feel it is our social responsibility to lessen the spread of COVID-19 and to make sure our employees and patients can stay home and support their family, friends and loved ones. If you have an appointment within that time period, we will be ...reaching out to notify you and to reschedule. Thank you in advance for your flexibility as we figure out our next steps. We will be checking voice messages (415-776-1646) and emails ([email protected]) daily. We are also offering teleheath video visits so please reach out to your therapist or our admin team and we'll be able to send you more information. We appreciate your support in this decision. We understand how challenging these times are and we want to make sure that we are doing all that we can to stay healthy.
