We arrived yesterday!! Our beautiful home has us VERY excited and a bit overwhelmed at all that we want to do. Here are some snippets of the house (I was so excited that I forgot to photograph the river front view and our lot! ). My New Craft Room is over 1k square feet in the attic and Sooo cool! (We don’t have attics like this in CA!). I have two Huge areas for my filming and my in-person classes! I MISS crafting and will be back (hopefully) in a week or so! www.GettingCrafty.net

How do you celebrate Easter ? Today we did an unusual Easter Egg Hunt amongst our boxes and pool table . We baked #ResurrectionRolls (honoring the memories of my Daddy who make me Cinnamon Sugar toast to bless me), my Mother-In-Law’s #ZucchiniQuiche and my Momma’s #CreamCheesePuffs - oh how we miss them but feel their love as we bake bits of them today. Church is essential to us. Good Friday as we see the darkness of death to the freedom of today where Christ sacrifi...ced it all for us. A weekend of good-bye-for-now moments... saying good bye is my weakness (my #kryptonite even!) . I don’t do emotions like this. Crying isn’t cathartic for me (no matter how one of my Besties believes it is LOL and her husband agrees with me btw ). I’ve never lived out of California... I’m not afraid though. Oh the excitement for the NEW while the heart loss of those we love here. The family to those who became like family hit us. Shhh I do cry but just don’t like it. Ohhh how soooo many have loved on us.... that gift of friendship, love, family type love... My new craft space (full attic) is over 1,000 sq foot of MY Space only. (No sharing it even!!). Our new home is on a river with a stunning location, room to breathe and a small town life while only 15 min from #FortWayne - nature, slower pace of life, room to be US... So today is honoring the Lord’s ultimate sacrifice for us, new life in Him... and for us the beginning of a new start. Happy Easter Sunday from our family to yours... how do you celebrate?? What do you want to do?!?... Are you doing it?!? I wanted to take auto shop in high school but was discouraged from doing so. So with my love of vintage cars I purchased a #1969CitronDS this week. It’s coming to Indiana with me andddd... I will be signing up for an #AutoShop class so that I can work on my own car! I’ll also take the class with my son if I can! How cool is that?!? There are no limitations for any of us. Rock it! It’s about the people in your life. I laugh when family or friends worry that they are too far away for a visit. Ummmm I will drive 4 hours for a two hour visit (and have done so often!). From cousins, my sister or friends - if you are close enough to drive - I’ll come to meet up or help out. It’s how I was raised. Today I’m driving up the coast. Seeing my old stomping grounds from #Ventura to #SantaBarbara to #SantaMaria #PismoBeach and ending in #Atascadero to see the wom...an who helped raise me. I’m moving away from her and I don’t know how to live like that (she raised me to be strong so I can but it’ll be challenging). I’m grateful for cell phones and FaceTime as we talk on the regular. I’m not her daughter by birth but she owns me and I’m hers. We claimed each other and I’m so grateful for her. She taught me to be me, resilient and sassy. She’s battled cancer for quite a few years... gosh I hate cancer. I love her beyond words. So I drove up the coast to be with her. To remember who I was and my roots that are tied to her. God gave me a gift in her. She rose where my momma couldn’t while she also loved on my mom and us. Today we soak each other up for all it’s worth. It’s about those who you love that makes life doable.
