April 27 is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day Looking to get rid of unwanted and expired prescription drugs? The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department will collect and dispose of these medicines during the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. The event is on Saturday, April 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Sheriff’s Deputies will be at Encinitas Scripps Hospital at 354 Santa Fe Drive.... This service is free and anonymous. No sharps or needles accepted. Unwanted or expired prescription drugs can be dangerous to the community by falling into the wrong hands. If you can't participate in Prescription Drug Take Back Day, you can always drop off unwanted prescriptions at any Sheriff's Station or Substation during normal business hours.
Such a fantastic podcast with Zach Pousman and Sam Glover helping attorneys understand design thinking to help us create the ultimate client experience! Legal Coaching was born out of looking around at the current state of the legal system and trying to see what the pain points are for clients and their families in the criminal justice system- and then designing a service to meet unmet needs!

Legal coaching is one of the most rewarding ways I spend my time at work. Being able to share my knowledge with people who are lost in the criminal justice system and give them guidance and solace truly feeds something in my soul. My hope is to reach more and more people with this helpful service. For today, I am feeling grateful to be able to build my practice doing what I love.
I am fascinated by the idea of safe drug injection sites. These are programs where addicts can go where trained medical professionals administer to them the drug they are addicted to in a safe and controlled manner. Not only does this insure that they will not be given too high of a dose, it also makes sure that the drug they are getting is not laced with other chemicals or drugs. "Supporters say it's a safer alternative for those who aren't ready for rehab, while opponents say it condones dangerous drug use." I first learned about this in Johann Hari's book "Chasing the Scream" where the author discussed different countries that implemented these kinds of programs with great success. What do you think about these kinds of programs?

"Candidly, you just provided more information in an hour than we've had in the past few years." - Recent legal coaching client. Legal coaching is more than just a consultation. It provides people with access to justice by sharing helpful knowledge and suggesting actionable items so they can make informed decisions in their or their loved one's criminal case. Selfishly, it also feels amazing to help scared people feel better by empowering them with information!
