Trees are down everywhere, we left the job site due to the trees looking like more to come down, right where we are working, Unbelievable the amount of movement at the trunks the ground was heaving.

When I got to work this morning, tree fell on the home I'm building.

Van's was canceled this year, it would have been last week of July and first week of August, it was a workcation

After waiting six weeks for special hardware, floor beams are installed,

Walls twenty feet tall

All of this is just under the first floor.

I keep telling myself no more big homes in the Mountains, and well here I am

Just a small remodel job moving some walls around and adding a couple of doors ,

Damb this wasn't easy, to build an octagon roof on a square ,the steel wasn't square but it's done framing, closed cornices and t&g vaulted ceiling. So many angels

Had to pull a rabbit out of my hat,on this The Architect obviously didn't understand trig,it not easy to build an octagon on a square and make the roof plane.
