What do you think about the case for removing dams in California? In the Valley? It's true that dams hurt the river systems they are placed on and the effects aren't as immediate. However, California needs to think about our relationship with water as we look forward 10+ years......Can we conserve water, sustain agriculture, preserve the rivers, and and live without dams?

This is an excellent example of the beautiful things that can happen when partnerships happen. In partnership with a local community arts organization, Flockworks, children at Dana Gray Elementary are able to explore their creative side and play with history, geography and culture. This proposed project would bring over 150 housing units, a new CVS, multi-level parking garage, and a grocery store to a corner in downtown that is in need of some TLC.....but it would mean losing the famous, Fresno stamp mural that so many love. What do you think?
Our country has a history of denying black communities the chance to own a home via redlining. Many families in America today can credit their wealth to being a homeowner and being denied this option has contributed to a large wealth gap between Americans. Do you think that proposals like presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg's Greewood Initiative would close this wealth gap? What do you think could work for Fresno? The initiative has goals of creating one million new black homeowners, 100,000 new black businesses, and plans to invest $70 billion in the 100 "most disadvantaged" neighborhoods in the country.
