The 5 things we CAN do about COVID-19
Remote senior support circle during self-isolation with light facilitation. Tuesday March 17th 12:00PM PST This group is for seniors feeling lonely due to self-isolation in these uncertain times. It is a place to connect, share questions and experiences of how you are coping with current circumstances. We'll have light prompts to help the conversation along as useful, and use a video conferencing tool to see each other (one click to join) or you can choose to join via phone ...if that is better for you. Pay what you choose. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/remote-senior-support-circle-d
New to Gatherwell? This is what we are after: A better world. Freedom to design balanced and meaningful lives in the midst of growing our businesses. We want the shared abundance that comes from pursuing our passion and helping others. That is our mission, our manifesto.
If you don’t like your job, there might be small shifts you can make that will realign you with the job. It might be that you don’t need a new job, you just need to make some adjustments to find something to be passionate about again. Start changing your habits, and take note of how each change makes you feel.
Homes are the backdrop for child-raising, social gatherings, and human interactions of all kinds. They're an essential part of the fabric of a community. Treating homes as just a physical structures misses a ripe opportunity for the less physical--but equally important--building of a cultural and communal nature; it misses the opportunity to provide truly effective housing.
The most meaningful conversations often happen at the dinner table. They’re meaningful and productive because we set aside distractions for good food, good people, and good conversation. Those dinner talks alone might not change my world, or the world. But they’re a good start.
Get intentional about your time by understanding how your energy works. Map out the hours of the day and what your energy is typically like during different periods. Mid-afternoon? It may not be your best thinking time, but it might be a great time to get active. What about late at night? Sometimes it’s the best time to produce new ideas and room to expand on them. Once you know your schedule creatively link your energy map with your personal and business activities to best your productivity!
Happy Thanksgiving! An attitude of gratitude is always a great mindset. What are you thankful for?
The way we talk to ourselves sets us up for how we will act. If we talk about time negatively, it’s easy to end up feeling stressed, overwhelmed, and out of energy. On the other hand, if we talk to ourselves about time in a way that feels spacious, it’s easier to be present to what’s in front of us. Ultimately, that focus is what will actually let us achieve more. People tend to overestimate what’s possible in the short run, and underestimate what’s possible in the long run. What will actually help you achieve your vision is the small steps in the time you have!
It’s so easy to become entangled in all the things to do; in the categories others put you in, the need for key terms on LinkedIn, the ‘right’ way to pitch potential partners, or how to frame your aims or accomplishments. In these demands, it’s easy to lose yourself. More particularly, who you are right nowwho you are with all your past accomplishments and failures (you’ve learned from both!), with your dreams and desires for more (whatever you’ve already done), and with specific experiences and sensations you’re having right now. It's imperative to remember all of the good things you have to bring to the table, because that's how your impact on change begins.
Sneak peek! So excited to share this with the world soon. Stay tuned. #climatechange #socialinnovation #systemschange #environmentalist #changemakers #socialentrepreneurship #socialentrepreneur #changemakers
Collectively we have more brain power and more to add when we all come to the table. The challenge is, often we don’t have the context to organize ourselves to allow the culmination of knowledge and relevant experience, to place the problem before us, and to figure out the solution or the practical need, and then to work together to come to something that might be better than what any one of us might come up with on our own.
Take 10 minutes right now to start writing out your dream. You can always revisit or even radically change your vision for a more positive reality, and just going through the process itself will show you how clear (or unclear) you are.
