Sermon: "The Tale of All Tales"

What will you do if our coming election raises up national or local leaders who oppose everything you stand for? In today's message, Chris Crossan examines lessons we can learn from David while he was under the constant threat of an ego-maniac king named Saul. This is our third sermon in this new series based on the life of David, A Man After God’s Own Heart: Vignettes from the Life of David, in which we examine major events of this hero of faith. Discussion questions:... 1. Why did Saul develop a hatred for young David? 2. How did David respond to Saul’s threats to kill him? 3. What lessons can we apply as we approach our national election? That is, how should we view our elected officials, even if they stand in opposition to our beliefs?
