96TH STREET AT AIRPORT BOULEVARD CLOSED OVERNIGHT TO SUPPORT EQUIPMENT DELIVERY TO AUTOMATED PEOPLE MOVER CONSTRUCTION SITE Activity: Beginning Oct. 16, 96th Street between 96th Place and Airport Boulevard will be closed during limited overnight hours to support the delivery of equipment to the Automated People Mover construction site at that intersection. Eastbound traffic on 96th Street will use 98th Street to detour around the closure. Detour signage will be posted. ... In conjunction with this closure, there will be lane closures on southbound Sepulveda Boulevard to safely remove the crane from the southbound loop. Through traffic will be maintained. LANE CLOSURES SLATED NEXT WEEK FOR SEPULVEDA TUNNEL CLEANING The Los Angeles Bureau of Street Services will clean the walls in the Sepulveda Boulevard tunnel near Los Angeles International Airport, requiring overnight lane closures for four nights next week. At least one lane will remain open at all times.... DATES: Monday, Sept. 28 Friday, Oct. 2 TIME: 11 p.m. 5 a.m. (the following morning) IMPACTS: On Monday and Tuesday nights, two southbound lanes will be closed, with one lane remaining open for travel. On Wednesday and Thursday nights, two northbound lanes will be closed, with one lane remaining open for travel. Passengers should allow extra time to reach the airport. CONTACT: Charles H. Today, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) launched two new mobile-friendly websites that provide quick and easy access to information about aircraft operations at both Los Angeles International (LAX) and Van Nuys (VNY) general aviation airports. The new noise portals offer the public an interactive site, driven by data and multimedia content, to understand how different aircraft operations affect noise levels within neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles and surrounding communit...ies. "Los Angeles World Airports is committed to being a great neighbor and to providing transparent information about how aircraft noise changes based on aircraft routes, weather conditions, runway maintenance and more, said Samantha Bricker, Chief Environmental and Sustainability Officer, LAWA. LAX RAMPS AT CENTURY AND SEPULVEDA BOULEVARDS TO CLOSE NIGHTLY FOR PEOPLE MOVER CONSTRUCTION (UPDATED IMPACTS AND DATES) Activity:... Overnight closures on the northbound and southbound ramps at Century and Sepulveda Boulevards, which serve as the entry and exit to LAX, will be implemented to install Cast-In-Drilled-Hole foundations in this location and to prepare the area for the future Automated People Mover guideway installation over Sepulveda Boulevard. During the northbound ramp closure (map 1), travelers can use the detour route along West Century Boulevard. During the southbound ramp closure (map 2), travelers will need to take the 96th Street detour when exiting Sepulveda Boulevard. At times, the ramp closures will be concurrent. Signage will be posted instructing traffic about the closure and appropriate detour route. The first CIDH in this location will be constructed Aug. 19-21. During the CIDH installation a single lane closure will be required at all times (map 2). Through traffic will be maintained during this work. Aug. 21 (12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.): During the first foundation’s concrete pour, travelers exiting LAX via Upper World Way South will be detoured around the closures using Circle Way to exit the Central Terminal Area. Dates: Monday, Aug. 17, 2020 to Friday, Sept. 4, 2020 Time: 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. *Dates and time subject to change.

Following the completion of the CID...H foundation, these same closures will be implemented to allow the equipment to be removed from this location.
