Patrol Officers will: Conduct 80-240+ hours of field training Respond to radio calls and client calls for service Respond to alarm activations and CCTV monitoring station calls Issue trespass notices... Arrest suspects related to crimes against a client or client property Interview suspects, victims and witnesses related to a crime against a client Complete crime, patrol reports and incident reports Monitor suspicious activity and report crimes to law enforcement officials Extinguish small fires and provide basic first aid Direct vehicular traffic during exigent circumstances Assist law enforcement officials as directed or needed Answer client or public questions within company guidelines Prepare and complete daily field activity reports Initiate sales calls and refer potential clients to Sales Manager Attend neighborhood watch and community meetings Perform numerous other activities in support of community policing, client concerns and company policies Desirable Qualifications: 1. Paid or volunteer experience in law enforcement, security or private protection positions. 2. An Associate, Bachelors or Masters degree in any discipline with an emphasis on criminal justice or security related subjects such as administration of justice, criminal law, public administration or business management. 3. Possession of American Red Cross or American Heart Association certifications in Advanced First Aid, CPR, First Responder, Basic First Aid, Lifeguarding or certification as an Emergency Medical Technician. 4. Possession of Police Officers Standards and Training (POST) certifications, with an emphasis on reserve or basic police academy training (PC832 Laws of Arrest, PC832 Firearms, PC832 Reserve Training Mod A/B/C/D, or POST Basic Certificate). 5. Possession of instructor certifications in basic life support skills, firearms, self-defense skills, law enforcement or security related topics. 6. Military experience with an emphasis on law enforcement or security positions or significant training in special operations such as Navy Seals, Army Rangers, etc. Must Possess: Current BSIS Guard Card Current BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit OC/Tear Gas Certification BSIS Baton Permit All relevant duty equipment (vest, duty belt, boots) Pay is dependent upon experience, between $17 and $25 per hour. Current police officers looking to apply for part-time roles are encouraged, and will be compensated accordingly.

While on scene of a brush fire, our Officers noticed an encampment in the burn scar, but one thing was missing - a bed. After searching for the rest of the encampment, we located this - a massive illegal marijuana grow. In the owners absence a group of individuals were squatting and growing, harvesting, and packaging the marijuana. The individuals were outstanding and a police investigation is currently under way. The estimated value of the plant production is in excess of $40 million. #marijuana #busted #ranger #patrol #security

On 11/13 at approximately 5am, our Officers responded to a brush fire at PCH at Las Tunas Canyon. Upon arrival, our Officers observed a male climbing out of the brush, from the location of the brush fire. After questioning the individual, he admitted to allegedly accidentally starting the 1.5 acre brush fire. Los Angeles County Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire after approximately 6 hours and LASD took the suspect into custody.

At approximately 3:30am, our Patrol Officers we’re patrolling Malibu when they noticed a sizable fire on the land side of PCH near Tuna Canyon. Our officers radioed our dispatch who then notified LACoFD and LASD. Our officers monitored the fire, providing updates, until LACoFD arrived. #realsecurity #brushfire #whileyouweresleeping #malibu

Gates Security is declaring a tactical alert starting Monday night. All officers will be on 12 hour shifts, have assigned partners, and we are tripling our deployment.
