Spring is the time for new beginnings, rebirth and rejuvenation, a celebration of hope and possibilities -- something desperately needed for all of us after the unexpected challenges of the last 12 months. And that's why now is the perfect time to refresh the image of The Gardens at Heather Farm. After over a decade with our former "green leaf" logo, we felt a new logo for GHF should be bold, bright, and beautiful to reflect the inspiration our nonprofit organization provide...s to the community. While we now have a new core image (inspired by the gorgeous peonies that bloom each spring in the Waterfall Garden), our core mission remains the same -- to enrich the community through the beauty and environmental stewardship of our gardens, provide educational programs for adults and children, and offer venues for social and cultural events. We're excited to finally unveil the new design and to get started on a new era here at The Gardens! #gardenshf #newlogo #rebranding #nonprofit #publicgarden #walnutcreek #garden #flowers #community

Narcissus blooms aren’t the only things bringing a bright yellow beauty to Daffodil hill this month Calendula officinalis, or pot marigold, is an easy-to-grow member of the daisy family Asteraceae which loves sunny locations and thrives in our Mediterranean climate. In ancient civilizations, it was used both medicinally and cosmetically, and is believed to have healing properties when applied to the skin. With its cheery, golden blossom, we think it has a different kind o...f healing effect and really does brighten your day! #garden #calendula #potmarigold #gardening #publicgardens #flowers #spring #walnutcreek #nature

Space is available (but limited) for our classes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Classes are one day per week from 10am to 11:30am. Registration fee: $105 per session. Bees. The superheroes of the environment. They work tirelessly, pollinating plants to ensure that we are surrounded by beauty and have food to eat. Bees are dedicated to helping our natural world survive and thrive. We are inspired by this tiny superhero, working with that same tireless commitment to ensure the survival of our beautiful green spaces and educational programming for the community. But after COVID-19, our survival is under threat. Every aspect of operation for o...ur nonprofit has suddenly become more difficult and uncertain. Revenue streams decreased or disappeared. Programs on hold. Events cancelled. Staff downsized and resources running low. "Bee" our hero. Please partner with us to ensure the survival of The Gardens at Heather Farm by donating generously this year. Bring hope to our team, our clients, our visitors, and all those who need us. Donate online now if you can. We truly appreciate your support!
