Every Wednesday afternoon, our new program Parent-Ade: When Life Gives You Distance Learning will cover topics related to the challenges of parenting during this time. We’re excited to announce that our 3 special edition library cards commemorating the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment are now available at all Sidewalk Service libraries! The cards feature the work of local artists commissioned by the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture and in partnership with L.A. County Women and Girls Initiative. Exciting news! Starting tomorrow, October 6, we’re expanding our Sidewalk Service holds pickup to 21 additional libraries. With a total of 67 locations, yo...u’ll have more access to the books , music , and movies you want to borrow! Also, please note that our service schedule will change: Our 21 newly-added locations will be open Tuesday Saturday, with hours on Tuesdays from 12 7 pm to allow for evening pickups, and 10 am 5 pm Wednesdays Saturdays. Our existing Monday Friday Locations (all 46 locations that were already offering Sidewalk Service) will shift Tuesday hours to 12 7 pm to allow for evening pickups. This summer, LA County Library continues the Lunch at the Library program, providing free lunches for teens and children. Lunches are available for non-contact pickup Tuesday - Friday, 12 - 1 pm, June 16 through August 7 at 24 library locations.
