2021 SEASON UPDATE: Hi Flag Families. We hope this message finds you healthy. We know this past 9 months have been a trying time for everyone. The past struggles and current uncertainty is something that weighs on all of us. We know one thing that everyone is missing is the opportunity to go outside and spend time with friends watching our kids play sports they love. This is something we will be back to very soon. FLAG Update: Our current dates for league start are 4 weeks ...away. While we would love for that to happen there are a few factors that have just come into play that is going to impact those dates unfortunately. 1. The State is going into its 2nd full scale lock down predicted to be a worse situation than phase l lock down. 2. The California Interscholastic Federation CIF (the governing body for California High Schools sport) has just come out with a pushback dates for high school sports due to California Covid 19 issues 3. State is not allowing any youth competition (no sports all levels) until further notice. Due to these three factors we must push the dates to follow California protocol but more importantly make sure we are all safe and protected from this serious situation. Safety for your family is #1. There is some light at the end of the tunnel. It is predicted the next 6 months will see the US returning back to normalcy. We feel very confident that our NEW season schedule starts dates will be a GO!! We do understand this can be a frustrating thing. It has been out of our power. We THANK YOU for all of your understanding and patience. The majority of all the FLAG families have stayed with us and our league is still thriving and eager to kickoff. Below are the dates we will be setting up for League start. April 18th Draft Day April 25th Practice 1 Uniform Distribution May 2nd Week 1 May 9th Mother’s Day OFF May 16th Week 2 May 23rd Week 3 May 30th Week 4 June 6th Week 5 June 13th Week 6 June 20th Week 7 Championship Weekend (Father’s Day) Your current registration will be forwarded on to the new season date. Your grade will be updated to the next grade level if you registered for spring 2020 season. We will see you soon. It will be a great way to get back to what we love to do. Hi Everyone, We hope everyone is doing well during this very stressful time. We know families are all missing the normal activities of spring / summer and are looking forward to getting back to some normalcy. In order to get out ahead of the projections we have decided to set the season where the governing bodies feel we will all be in a safe situation. FLAG SEASON STILL ON. WE HAVE MADE A FEW ADJUSTMENTS SEE BELOW: Hi Flag Families, We hope everyone is healthy and safe during this very stressful and unpredictable time. The FLAG Support Team is doing our best to navigate through the daily changes that are occurring in our community and state. Our #1 priority, as it always has been, is our athletes' safety.... In order to manage the unpredictability of the current COVID-19 situation, we are making a few adjustments. These changes will have little impact on the season, but will greatly impact our ability to have the season be a full and fun FLAG FOOTBALL year. These changes will allow us to kick-off the season. Below are a few adjustments that will be made to the up and coming season. Please share this with friends and families who are also participating in the 2020 season. We want to make sure everyone is aware of the schedule change. The Draft The Draft will be held by us and each team will be randomly picked by a lottery-style app. Players will be placed in the database and be randomly selected to the teams. Practice Day May 17, 2020 will be our practice day. It will be a two hour practice and uniforms will also be handed out. You will be notified prior to May 17th about your coach and team. These are the 3 items that you will be required to submit on this day.
