Check out our awesome summer workshop offerings! They are a great way to explore creative interests more deeply. They can be started any time between May 15th and August 1st. Join our Executive Function Workshops this from May-August! With so many children struggling with learning loss over the past three semesters, Executive Function Skills are more important than ever. Fusion Pasadena’s ten-session workshops will focus on discovering your child’s strengths and gaps, supporting not only traditional aspects of Executive Function such as problem solving, organization, and time-management skills, but also focusing on individualized goal setting, mo...tivation and inhibitory control. Your workshop will begin with individual assessment through such instruments as the Executive Function for Teens Diagnostic Assessment, Myers-Briggs Personality Test and other select tools. Because the classes are taught 1:1, your child’s learning discoveries are the focal point of the program, teaching the skills your son or daughter will need to be successful in fall. 10-session Executive Function Workshops will be offered May 15 to August 1. This month in our community meetings we are celebrating National Poetry Month! Last week we watched and discussed author/writer/poet/teacher Joaquin Zihuatanejo perform ‘Poem for Jon’ in sign language. The poem was inspired by a deaf student of Zihuatanejo’s who is an amazing writer. April also happens to be National Deaf History Month! Students at our campus love having the opportunity to learn American Sign Language with our ASL teacher Elin! Check out the spoken word poem at the link in our bio.

About a year ago, a deeply beloved student from our campus, Ruby, was killed by a drunk driver, along with her younger brother. Our community has been grieving this immeasurable loss ever since. Ruby’s parents Gail and Colin are holding a fundraiser for Black Lives Matter in memory of their two children. Their powerful words are below.

Because our in-person prom had to be cancelled this year, on May 15th, Fusion Los Angeles with be hosting Fusion Worldwide: Virtual Prom! Since all Fusion students everywhere are invited we’re hoping this will be the biggest Fusion prom ever! At 5pm there will be a Pre-Prom Barbershop & Salon. Dress to impress! There will be prizes. Matty’s Barbershop will be open for business for all students that want to tie their ties, grease their hair, and talk shop before the big night.... And Juliana’s Salon will be open for those who prefer dresses and think foundation is better grounded when applied to the skin. Still deciding on what to wear? Vie will be there to help you through the closet storm. Her advice is Yelp approved. After the formal attire is pressed and makeup set, it’s time for Prom. Check in to the LA Virtual HC. Juliana will be there to greet you and send you off to the party! There will be breakout rooms for both dancing and lounging!
