A great place to stay in L.A. Short hop with great bus service to downtown to the east, West Hollywood to the north and Santa Monica and Venice beaches to the West.

China has found a way to turn deserts into forests.

Contrary to popular opinion, L.A. has good bus service and a metro. Getting around the area from city center to the west side is easy and fast. It's only far flung places that you won't go to anyway that take a long time to get to.

And, that was from the bus on San Vicente, a two minute walk north. Pico Blvd to the south is a 5 min walk. Hop on a bus to Venice Beach or downtown L.A.

If you want to give up your rental car, you can get to all the best places with excellent Metro train and bus connections. Check out the LA transit Web page. A bus leaves every 12 minutes for trendy Santa Monica Blvd West Hollywood restaurants and bars.

When I am there, I bike everywhere including the free Kjaz sponsored live concerts held outdoors on summer evenings in forecourt of the beautiful LACMA every Friday evening at 5pm. Here I am biking in Barcelona.

L.A. is great in summer. And, we are in a great place to enjoy it. From the beach, to West Hollywood, Hollywood, Miracle Mile, The Observatory. It is all nearby. Don't stay anywhere else. Contact is on AirBnB to book the apartment.
