We had a fantastic turnout at our first information meeting last night! We had 20 people attend to hear about how to invest in our downtown. Thanks to all who turned out.

We have two more information meetings this week! Tomorrow, Wednesday at 8am and Friday at noon. Both at Bitwise South Stadium-700 Van Ness (bring quarters for the parking meters). Come learn about this special type of investment fund for downtown real estate.

We're busily planning our upcoming informational events. The first one will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 7:00PM at Bitwise South Stadium (700 Van Ness). Fresno State wine will be served (yummy!).

John Katovich is going to be speaking in Fresno next week. John is the genius behind the resurgence of community-based investment and his firm put together our Direct Public Offering, Fulton Street Investors LLC. I would love to see dozens of local business owners and nonprofits at this event to learn about crowd-sourced investment. As a community we can invest in startups, expanding businesses, charter schools, food companies, clean tech...you name it! Downtown Fresno's revitalization took a giant step forward yesterday when the Fresno City Council voted 7-0 to adopt the new Downtown Plans and Development Code. This will result in higher quality, urban buildings and faster processesing times for City permits. This is great for downtown investment!

One of the important components that make downtown revitalization possible is having clear rules that make development predictable and high quality. Join us Thursday, September 29 at 5:30pm at Frank's Place (1432 Fulton) for an after-work beverage and an explanation of the new Downtown Development Cope and Specific Plan. These documents will give us the urban framework for our success. They go to the Planning Commission on October 12 at 6:00pm and City Council on October ...20 at 1:30pm. Come learn about them and join us in helping assure their adoption.

This Thursday, September 1st at 2:00pm we will launch our investment fund. This has been a goal/dream for years. If you can join us, we will be on the third floor of the Pacific Southwest Building (a.k.a. Security Bank Building at 1060 Fulton Mall. Come find out what this new fund is all about, how it works and what we will do. It is truly a one of a kind venture. It is our hope that these funds spring up all over California cities, especially the cities that need extra help and investment. But it's starting right here in downtown Fresno!
