Student Engagement and Success 07.06.2021

It’s probably safe to say that very little of 2020 has turned out the way any of us expected. Even Easter celebrations this yearwhile acknowledging the need for a Risen Christ now more than everwere tempered amid social distancing that has kept us apart from our families, friends, and faith communities for a month now and running. This is a tremendous amount of loss we are all experiencing. How do we give ourselves the grace to grieve, care for ourselves, and be centered in... this sobering and disorienting time? Chaplains Inés Velasquez-McBryde, Kevin Doi, and Brenda Bertrand are offering one such space: A Grieve & Grow virtual workshop on Friday, April 24 from 9:00-11:30 AM. This workshop invites you to guided exercises to help name and grieve losses, to consider the practices and graces available for self and soul care, and to create a contemplative space for you to center on God’s presence in these strange and difficult times.
