Just about one year ago today the 4th and 5th graders had a movie party on a Friday afternoon. The school campus closed that day, for one year. This past Monday we welcomed back our first students and next week it will be all grades! So many emotions arise with the start of in person instruction. We are prepared, we know how to teach, kids know how to be at school, but this is new and different. Our team gets that deeply and to that end, social emotional and physical safety a...re our top priority. Honestly - that is simply the Fuente way. We know students cannot learn if they do not feel safe, connected and loved. Teachers cannot teach if they don’t feel safe, supported and cared for. Living this value may never have been as important as it is now. So grateful for this team, this school, this moment. Welcome back kids!! We have missed you so much. See more
