Fuel Injection Racing Association 02.11.2020

It is my pleasure to announce that Eric Rhead of Salt Lake City has won the Magic Valley Speedway Modified Championship in Twin Falls Idaho this past weekend. His STR chassis fitted with an engine prepared by Arce Racing Engines has become what we belive to be the first asphalt championship using Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI). The trouble free EFI system is manufactured by FAST that is a subsidiary of CompCam/CPG and has actively been used in the past 4 years in Modified ra...cing on the West coast. Teammate Lynn Hardy who also runs an engine prepared by Arce Racing Engines would win the second of two main events for the evening. Zach Webster would win the first main. Eric would finish second in both mains and secure the history making Championship. Lynn Hardy would finish second in the championship points followed by Zach Webster. Congratulations for putting such a great show all year long. Arce Racing Engines would like to thank Eric and his RedBone Trucking Team for working so hard all year long to make this possible and believe that EFI belongs in Saturday night circle track racing. I also need to thank David Page at CompCam/CPG for always at our side for any help. I can't tell you what it means to me for Magic Valley Speedway owner Eddy McKean to allow EFI to run at his track. Hopefully this will set a trend for old school track promoters to fall in line and face the fact that this is the 21st Century and our future is not just carburetors but, EFI as well. The future of our racing kids depends of this change!!! Thank you to Lucas Oil and all that have always supported my efforts and dream to bring EFI to Saturday Night Circle Track Racing!

Arce Racing Engines............... It has taken a bit to sink in.....the brutal weather that was cold, wet enough to make you num, along with a psychotic rain p...attern that would really test your patience. After 24 hours of hard work and grinding to keep on top of 5 race cars it would become one of the most special races in my life. As the #24 of Garcia Racing driven by Trevor Cristiani in the STR Chassis would crack the throttle of the Arce Racing Engine for the last time between turns 3 & 4 before he took the checker flag in the #1 position. As I looked at Trevor's father Danny I could see a hint of relief and watery eyes as we connected with hand shake. Celebration erupted with lots of hugs and high 5's. I stared down Mike Garcia as he fought back the emotions and hugged him around the neck. A final fist pump with chassis man Ron would end a two and a half year drought of wins for Garcia Racing. It didn't end there as I looked over at the #24 to see my sons first ever sponsorship company name Fytron Software LLC on the side of the race winning car......It was then that I joined Danny and Mike's emotions. Congratulation to each and everyone of the Garcia Team members, Trevor Cristiani and his Family for winning the first Spears Modified Series race at Kern County Raceway!!! When you are helping two seperate teams, it is very difficult to watch one team win and the other not to. You know all of them have worked equally as hard and put in all the effort to try and win. It makes it even tougher when they are best friends. The Kay Motorsport brothers put on a nice show and brought home their STR chassis in 6th place for #2K Cody Kay 7th place for #1K Jeremy Kay. I assure you the High Voltage sponsored team will be in victory lane some time this season. The Garcia Racing prepared STR chassis of #36 Travis McCollough had a good car but ended up in the pits from an on track crash that left him in 19th. As I am helping the Kay Motorsport Team and the Garcia Racing Team I cannot thank each of them enough for running Arce Racing Engines as well as the friendship and hospitality they have provided. I am truly grateful to be a part of their teams. Next race, Irwindale Speedway March 23rd!!!

Phil Pipgras from Fast Time Motorsports out of Medford, Oregon becomes the first open wheeled Modified to win a Championship with Arce Racing Engines Gen. III LQ9 engine at Douglas County Speedway!!! When Douglas County Speedway (DCS) Legalized the Gen. III LQ9 engine for the Open Wheeled Modifieds in 2015 they had no idea that the speedway would be making history when Phil Pipgras won the final race and the championship points for the season. The Legalization of the 21st cen...tury LQ9 engine that builds plenty of horsepower on 91 pump gas for the 2500 lb. cars will make DCS the holder of the first track to have a Championship with the new styled engine. Phil's power plant sits in the more popular west coast STR chassis that dominates many of the modified races. He clams the LQ9 was flawless throughout the season and a most efficient and cost saving engine for racing. Phil will forever be the race competitor that stepped out of the "status quo" for engines and be the beta team for introducing the engine that will soon flood the racing scene. Presently three organizations allow the newly LQ9 engine here on the west coast. The engine was founded through the highly profiled Lucas Oil Modifieds competitor Dave Arce. They are presently running at Barona Dirt track in San Diego County, Douglas County Speedway in Oregon and the Lucas Oil Modifieds West Coast Series. Phil's work is not done yet as he will continue on and take 21st Century racing by the horns and work on a solution to possibly run the LQ9 engine with Electronic Fuel Injection that is currently running in the Lucas Oil Modified Series and Barona Speedway. The LQ9 and FIRA FAST EZ EFI will bring racing up to date and allow race teams to reduce cost, emission and improve efficiency. Arce Racing Engines would like to thank Douglas County Speedway and Phil Pipgras for thinking forward for our racing haven and allowing change to improve our future of circle track racing! Arce Racing Engines brings Gen. III LQ9 and EFI win to Saturday Night Circle Track Racing with Ron Leslie at Barona Speedway!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnVZvqGCPXk

It is with great pleasure to announce that Ron Leslie from El Cajon, California has become the first FIRA FAST-EZ EFI System winner utilizing Electronic Fuel Injection in Saturday Night Dirt Circle Track Racing at Barona Speedway located in San Diego County. Ron ran a consistent and clean race that had been shortened to 15 laps due to time constraints. Along with the FIRA EFI System Ron is also utilizing the Gen. III LQ9 built by Arce Racing Engines out of El Cajon, Californi...a. Barona Speedway legalized the EFI System last year for the Pro Stock Series to set grounds for what the future has to offer for circle track racing. Dave Arce from Arce Racing Engines said Barona Speedway officials and drivers welcomed the system and the Speedway will now go down in history as the first dirt track with a winning electronic fuel injection system. Arce said it was truly an amazing night and was happy to be in attendance when Ron won the Main Event using the EFI System. Only two other systems are being utilize, one by Dave Arce in the Lucas Oil Modified Series along with the LQ9 and one with Bobby Keirns at Havasu 95 Speedway with the Gen. I engine. Phil Pipgras from Oregon is running the LQ9 at Douglas County Speedway but, has not yet used the EFI System. Stay tuned for more action as EFI migrates into circle track racing! See more
