Happy 14 Year Anniversary! In April of 2007 I joined First Statewide Realty as a bookkeeper. It was the beginning of a career path I didn't foresee. It was just a part time position and I was working many other jobs while going to school full time. In 2008, my boss, the Broker at the time, Jerry Garrity, convinced me to get my Real Estate license. We were in the midst of a recession and everyone thought I was crazy for taking his advice. I passed the state exam and quickly w...orked my way up to Property Manager and in 2009, Office Manager. In 2012, when I was eligible to get my Brokers license, I hit the books once again. After months of additional courses and studying, I passed the state exam once again, but this time as an Associate Broker to First Statewide Realty. In 2013, my broker announced his retirement and decided to sell the company. I was offered the unique opportunity to purchase First Statewide Realty and in 2014 I became a partner. In 2017, I bought out my partner and incorporated the business. 4 years and a pandemic later, I am still here. After a total of 14 years of dedicated service to my clients I can say that I am looking forward to whatever comes next. Natalie Swerkes Broker / President
