Last week the case was heard before Judge Mike Lunas, newly elected Judge in Lake County Superior Court. Judge Lunas said he had JUST received the legal briefs and volumes of information (3 binders' worth) from Judge Martin. Our lawyer and Nady's lawyer gave their arguments and counter arguments. No public comment was taken. The case took all day, from 9am to about 4:15pm, with a break for lunch. Judge Lunas ended the day by saying he will need to take time to read the 3 volumes and the legal briefs and will make his determination. Our understanding is that he has up to 90 days from the court date. We hope that Judge Lunas will educate himself about CEQA and hope and pray that Friends prevails.
