The Friends of Aliso Viejo Library

A big thank you for coming to the book sale yesterday, your support raised over $ 300 that goes to our library. Given how little any of us were able to do last year this was a big win.

Don’t forget our book sale date on February 13th. Lots of new books, lots of new teen books, big assortment of fabric at super low price. We will have some real bargains, already boxed books in banker boxes at $1.00-you get the box with a lid and the contents for $1.00, what a deal. Bargains on like new gift books, tote bags, masks, craft supplies just to mention a few. 10-2. Best selection is always in the morning. Social distancing is a must, masks strongly suggested. Help support our library.

Great news, the bookstore sale will be on Saturday, February 13 from 10-2. Outside, bargain priced books, DVD and . We will also have book series in bundled sets and like new books at manager special prices. I will post more about prices as we get closer to the sale. Just FYI other friends stores may also be participating in this event - you should be able to find more information on OCPL website. Masks are recommended, social distancing needs to be followed, we will do our best to spread out sale displays to accommodate as many as possible

Hello friends, wishing all of you a Happy New Year. As of today there is a tentative date scheduled for another book sale, February 13. Keep in mind this can change based on Covid-19 numbers and County mandates. We don’t have a time set yet, will keep you updated as I get more information.

Good afternoon, as promised I have additional information on the upcoming book sale. November 21 and 28, 10:30-2:30, on the sidewalk by the bookstore. We will provide bags, you fill the bag and the cost is $1.00 We will be selling DVDS at 4:$1.00 and CDS at 5:$1.00 Take advantage of this one time opportunity to stock up. There will be books from all catagories. Books will be on tables and rolling carts. Minimal contact, small bills appreciated.

A little news that might brighten your day; while we still are unable to open we have an ok to have two parking lot sales this month. The sale dates are November 21 and 28. The sale will be a set price for a bag of books, we will supply the bag and you can fill it. Stay tuned for times and prices.

Sorry to say we are still not open and my best guess it will not change this year unless there is a major turn around in Covid numbers.

Just letting everyone know we have not received any info on getting to reopen our bookstore, we will let you know just as soon as we receive approval. Given the current increase in cases and reinstaltion of some restrictions I’m not anticipating confirmation any time soon. Our volunteers are all anxiously awaiting the ability to come back.
