Fraternity Poor of Jesus Christ Los Angeles

Today we celebrate our Fraternity’s 19th anniversary! 19 years ago, the Lord inspired our founder with a profound desire and a deep conviction to belong totally to Christ by serving the poorest of the poor. Today, our small community" - as its been traditionally referred to, is present in 15 countries and in 4 of the 7 continents. Many religious friars and sisters, lay associates, young adults, children, and people of all ages have joined this community with the deep desire to spread the good news of the Gospel to all, but especially to those forgotten and lonely in our midst- the poor in their multiple faces. We give thanks to Our Lord for all those who directly or indirectly have supported this journey of ours toward heaven!

It was a beautiful evening with our friends from the Opened Arms Prayer Group. Even more because we gathered together outdoors to pray the Holy Rosary. Our Lady Mother of God, Pray for Us!

Even though we couldn’t do it in a físicas place, we were spiritually online conected for the consecration to Saint Michael the Archangel. Thanks be to God.

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Holy Archangels Saint Michasjuniperoel, Saint Raphael, and Saint Gabriel. This date is very important for our community since one of our patron saints is Saint Michael the Archangel. During the 40 days of Lent in honor to St. Michael, he accompanied us faithfully, defending us in the combat and staying by our side as a guide and defender against the abominable powers of the earth and hell. Blessing of Our Chapel! It was with great joy that we had our chapel blessed today by @archbishopgomez. It was an honor to receive Archbishop Jose Gomez and Fr. Raymond Medina in our mission house. Three years ago, Archbishop Gomez welcomed us in the LA Archdiocese and had been so kind and supportive of our ministry to the poor.... We also thank all the benefactors who supported our project with their donations!

We have the joy to inform you that on October 4th, we Friars from Los Angeles, Kansas City, and Birmingham will be renewing our Religious Vows at the Cathedral of Saint Paul in Birmingham/Alabama at 6:30 am (PDT). We entrust ourselves to your prayers so that we can faithfully follow Christ Poor, Chaste and Obedient in union with Him. Ask the Lord of mercies to keep sending vocations to serve His Holy Church! The apparition of Our Lady of La Salette challenges us to take up an often neglected spiritual practice. While most reported apparitions of Mary portray her without much emotion, at La Salette she was seen visibly crying.
