Dr. Danielle Campagne is a Fresno State Alumni and is a current associate professor of clinical emergency medicine at UCSF Fresno. Her insight into Wilderness Search and Rescue has been such an inspiration to all our attendees! #centralvalleyphysicians #fresnostate #godogs

Stop the Bleed: Students will be able to take part in attempting to stop a bleed in a critical situation. Clinical Research: A clinical research director will be discussing the importance of research within the medical field and its importance in bettering the future of medicine Personal Statement Workshop: MiMentor will provide a workshop on creating a competitive and original personal statement while explaining the great resources the program offers. Community Regional Medical Center and UCSF Fresno’s Fresno Trauma & Acute Care Surgery celebrated trauma survivors today.

UCSF Fresno Doctors Academy 12th grade students visited UCSF recently. They were welcomed to campus by UCSF Professor and longtime program supporter Dr. Henry S...anchez, who led a dynamic gross anatomy lab and pathology lecture where students worked with human organs. Students were also treated to lunch and networked with current UCSF students from the schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing and Pharmacy. DA students wrapped up the day with a presentation led by Dr. Alma Martinez, PRIME-US Director of Admissions and Outreach, and UCSF PRIME students who presented on informed consent and led an interactive activity where students learned about different body systems using 3D modeling software and showed their creative side. Special thanks to UCSF Post-Bac Program for assisting with the coordination of this great event, Dr. Henry Sanchez, UCSF students from the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Dentistry and School of Pharmacy as well as UCSF PRIME-US for showing these future health care professionals an unforgettable experience.

Faculty members at UCSF Fresno Rene Ramirez, MD, from emergency medicine, and Veronica Ramirez, MD, from p...ediatrics, watched the show as invited guests of Fresno State President Joe Castro and First Lady Mary Castro. They also rubbed elbows with boxing champ José Ramirez. The Drs. Ramirez graduated from Fresno State and the #HealthCareersOpportunityProgram, a University-level academic program that prepares students who are underrepresented for careers in health and medicine (similar to the Doctor’s Academy).
