2020 Graduate Celebration featuring Kelsey Swall! Major - Agriculture Education What has been your most memorable moment at Fresno State? My most memorable moment at Fresno State was when I joined Sigma Alpha, the professional agricultural sorority on campus. Sigma Alpha has opened me up to new relationships, opportunities on campus within our Jordan College, and professional development in my chosen industry, agriculture.... How has the Fresno State Farm/Jordan College influenced your education? The Fresno State Farm and Jordan College has influenced my education in many ways. During my time at Fresno State, I worked as an intern at the Sheep Unit for three years, was a Livestock Tour Guide for three years, and was the Farm Tour Coordinator for one year. In addition to my campus jobs, I had the opportunity to take laboratory classes that were hands on. From livestock judging, sheep, swine and beef production, and crop science; I experienced hands on learning in production agriculture. I got everything I wanted out of my education on the Fresno State Farm. Club Involvement/work experience that has prepared you for your career: State FFA Conference Committee Ag Ambassador FFA Field Days Reasons Judge Worked at the Sheep Unit Farm Tour Guide and Tour Coordinator Member of Sigma Alpha FFA Speaking Contests Judge Worked the Red Wave Livestock Sale and Jackpot Show. How has the Fresno State Farm/Jordan College influence your education? Being one of the Beef Unit managers has allowed me to stay involved in the industry and get the hands-on experience that will be vital in the classroom. Club involvement/work experience that has prepared you for your career: President of the Fresno Young Cattlemen’s, Livestock Judging. Congratulations Trevor Autry!
