Fresno EOC Employment and Training pairs young adults with paid internship opportunities and supports their educational goals. This year, Fresno EOC received 337 applicants who expressed a need for a paid summer internship. The number of applicants is too telling of the great interest and needs of young people in the Central Valley. Giving back can provide another internship and support our local workforce, as we face the highest unemployment rate since The Great Depression. #GivingTuesday Donate now: https://bit.ly/392H92i

We are beyond grateful for this donation of masks from AmeriCorps Seniors Volunteers at HandsOn Central California. These volunteers took their precious time to... sew masks for Head Start 0 to 5 staff and children. It's AMAZING how many people are using their sewing abilities to help those in need. #WeAreFresnoEOC Are you interested in donating masks? Please call (559) 263-1000
Fresno EOC Employment and Training Interns have been reaching out to their local communities and reminding friends, family members, and neighbors to fill out their census. Check out their narratives here: https://fresnoeoc.org/fresno-eoc-summer-interns-encourage-/
Fresno EOC Employment and Training Intern, Nancy Serrano spoke about her internship doing census outreach. As a resident of Parlier, she encouraged her community to get counted in the 2020 Census! "It has been a great experience working with Fresno EOC to promote the Census. I enjoyed informing my community about the Census, especially since most of my community is considered hard-to-count. I learned a lot about community engagement and the importance of communication throughout my time in this internship. Communicating with others has been a challenge due to current circumstances, but I learned to overcome those obstacles. Overall, this internship was a great learning experience!" What an amazing donation to assist the homeless of our community
Fresno EOC has spent over five decades investing in people, helping them become self-sufficient. Without the Civil Rights Movement and leadership of Rep. John Lewis, the mission and drive of Community Action Agencies would not be possible.
