Welcome back Grade 3-5 students! All of our Lower School is back on campus now, with our most recent arrivals learning where to wash their hands, how to safely distance, and what to expect for their daily schedule. Teachers have done a wonderful job bringing our at-home learners into the classroom virtually. When you ask students who is in their class, they always mention both in-person and at-home learners! They understand their classroom community extends beyond their (6’ apart) desks.

Just before October Break, we held our first Community Salon of the 20-21 school year, featuring parents and alumni discussing Design Thinking with our parent and alumni community- and some of our high school students as well! The evening was rich and rewarding, full of interesting dialogue and meaningful engagement. Join us for our next Community Salon on December 3!

Grade 10 students spent time recently creating self portraits, inspired by Gustave Courbet’s Desperate Man 1845 (last image). These works of art not only illustrate our students wearing masks, but also, and more importantly, they capture the deep emotions they are feeling during this moment in history.

Welcome back K- Grade 2 students! Students were greeted with pom poms and signs, and washed their hands thoroughly before heading into classrooms. The classrooms look a little different this year, with desk spaced apart and some classmates joining virtually, but students are excited and making the best of an unusual year.

Our teachers are truly amazing- they’ve completely turned their classrooms inside out to facilitate Remote Learning and welcomed new students to their classes this year, all while continuing to offer our exemplary international education to each and every student and family. Thank you teachers!

Welcome back to school, Pre-Kindergarten students! Today, our PK3 and PK4 students were welcomed onto campus, many of them for their very first day of school. This transition can be hard for the first few days, especially in this new way of interacting with one another, but the teachers did a wonderful job of creating a warm, welcoming environment with lots of art, encouraging words, and hand washing.

Welcome back to school! Today we may not have students on campus, but we have students in classrooms all over the Bay Area. Thank you to our teachers for their extensive planning to make this school year wonderful, and to our parents for partnering with us, helping your children to learn at home in this extraordinary start to the year.

Welcome back, faculty and staff! This week, our teachers returned to campus, masked and distance, for our annual pré-rentrée. In addition to continued Professional Development and curriculum planning, they also helped pack up bags and boxes for each student, filled with textbooks, tech gear, and other supplies. We look forward to welcoming most of our students back remotely next week!

This week is the final week of athletics camps for our student-athletes. Over 75 high school students attended 8 different sport camps over the course of the summer. The student-athletes and coaches abided by the stricted of protocols to ensure a safe environment for all. Our coaches felt rejuvenated to work with their student-athletes again, and especially enjoyed the opportunity to welcome some of our Class of 2024 students onto campus!
