2020? Ya, it's been absolutely astonishing. A deadly pandemic, the Black Lives Matter movement, a politically supercharged election, global wildfires and storms that were a wake-up call to the reality of climate change, incredible scientific advancements, and the loss of so many public notables. Emotionally, it was rough. We approach the new year with a sense of cautious optimism. We'll have new leadership, most of us have a deeper understanding of civic responsibility, there... are vaccines coming our way, and the things we took for granted before are now clearly those things we hold dear and cherish. We look forward to hugging each other again, shaking hands, and gathering. There is a new respect for the word "community", and an understanding of it's fragility.
