Another aircraft on loan to us is this U.S. Navy Temco Pinto trainer. There were only 15 of these produced.
On the left is a Kinner Playboy. Only 12 were produced and this is the only known one remaining in the world. To the right is a New Ryan. If you lived in Vacaville when the Nut Tree Restaurant was open, this aircraft was painted red, white and blue and was on the second floor.
A birds-eye view of the Center floor.
Thanks to Geoff Lippman of the American Armory Museum in Fairfield, the Center has some WWII and Vietnam era vehicles on display. Inside we have a Willy's Jeep, an M-16 Half-track and a vehicle which started life out as a Dodge but with some changes from Hollywood, it was converted to a German Command Car and was used by James Mason in the movie "The Desert Fox". It was then kept around the studio and eventually used in the TV series "Combat". As for our outside Vietnam display, it is still in the planning stages and we could really use volunteers to assist us in building this display. If you can spare some time, please call Paul at (707) 301-0905.
Last year we had the first GI Joe/Military Collectibles show and it was a big success. We are going to have another one near November, so keep coming back to this site to see the date. This year there will be celebrities and some of the characters from Star Wars will be showing up.
Hello Solano County! Keep returning to this site to look for the date of our grand "Preopening" when we get permission to open the doors to the general public. There have been many changes in the last couple of months to include new planes and new displays. One of our newest planes on loan to the Center is this T-6 which was converted by the magic of Hollywood to a Japanese Zero for the movie "Tora, Tora, Tora!" It was also used in the original movie "Midway" and was used in many television shows.

Notice of Temporary Closure The health and well being of our staff, guests and community is our top priority. In light of information on the coronavirus (COVID-19) released by city, state, and federal officials the Center for Freedom & Flight will be closed to the public until further notice. Please check back for updates. We look forwarding to welcoming you back soon.
