This Monday, County of Santa Clara, California launched its mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinic with the support of public safety agencies including SJFD. First ...responders from agencies throughout the County have been supporting the County’s vaccination efforts since late December 2020 by staffing the clinic with personnel to support clinic operations and to serve as vaccine injectors. SJFD has roughly 22 firefighters assisting with the countywide vaccination effort on a daily basis. Six are now providing mobile vaccinations to homebound San José residents in partnership with County of Santa Clara Public Health Department, while another 16 are continuing to support the County vaccination clinic at the Fairgrounds. The mobile vaccination clinic operation is another critical step towards vaccinating our most vulnerable, homebound community members.
