Low is the way to go. -Eric Wang For five years, Eric has worked in FRC and on Team 4079 for four. As our other current Software co-lead, he was another contributor to our vision code! Working hard as scouting lead and strategist on the team, he has supported the team through every competition. Eric has also volunteered at numerous FRC events, such as Beach Blitz for two years. He has also been an amazing leader for the younger and future coders of the team. Not only has Er...ic been a great teacher to the younger members, but he has dedicated a lot of time to this team, being someone we can always count on. Justin Yue Self Test Software -Justin Yue Justin has been in FRC for four years and on Team 4079 for three. Serving this season as our Software Co-Lead, he has been an exceptionally passionate, capable individual who we are so glad to have been able to work with. His considerate, charming personality has never failed to make each meeting fun as well as exciting. Justin has significantly contributed to the success of our team in countless ways such as helping develop our... first and second versions of our vision code and self-test software for our robot. Not only is he an amazing coder, but he was also an amazing leader for the younger, future coders of the team. Thank you so much, Justin. The hammer is a fine-tuning adjustment tool. -Kaushal Shyamsundar Serving as the Senior Team Captain of FRC for the past two years, Kaushal has not only brought his all for the team, but he has also successfully been able to lead the team to several finalists at the Orange County Regionals, off-season events, and even led the team to the Houston World Championships. He is one of the founders of Girl Powered STEM Day an event we hold to bring more women into STEM. In the p...ast six years, we have seen Kaushal grow to be a hardworking and dedicated member who isn’t afraid to share his ideas and thoughts. Alongside being our Team Captain, Kaushal also focuses on the mechanical aspects of the team, helping design, CAD, and assemble various parts of the robot. Today marks the last day of the 2020 season and the start of the 2020 offseason. The impact of the coronavirus is growing significantly with each day, and we have received word from FIRST HQ that the 2020 Infinite Recharge Season is suspended, all Regionals are postponed indefinitely (San Diego Regional and Orange County Regional for us), and Detroit and Houston World Championships have been cancelled. We are very proud of Lightspeed, our 2020 robot, and we will keep working ...hard to prepare for the possible Regionals and off season events. That’s a wrap on week 8 of build season and week 1 of competition season! Our Robot Cart is completed and looking spicier than ever. Our drivers are continuing to get in more practice for our upcoming regional, and software is ironing out their code to get it ready for SDR! We have converted our old 2018 Drive Train into a defense bot, so Drivers can get in more practice with defense. Our final Low Dumper is ready to be fully assembled, and the High Shooter is almost finished being put into CAD, getting ready to fabricate for our second regional, OCR.
