Monday, April 12 marks the return to school for many Flyers. If returning to in-person learning, be sure to bring your Parent Acknowledgment Form, student Sympt...om Checklist/ClearPass, and make sure your student is wearing a mask that covers their nose, mouth and chin. Your students will also want to bring: -A Fully Charged Device and Cord -Backpack that can fit their device and headphones (over the head, noise cancelling headphones are ideal). -Water Bottle -And any other items that your child's teacher may have suggested. Members will vote for the new Board Office...rs at the special election meeting April 8 at 4pm. ALL families, please complete the LCFF Forms. It is VERY IMPORTANT that ALL FAMILIES complete this form. This helps our school to receive funding! Our school will be calling to assist families to complete this very important information. SDUSD was recently informed by the California Department of Education that all students in the district are able to receive access to free meals for the remainder of this school year regardless of Free and Reduced meal status. The district is... prohibited from collecting meal forms for the remainder of this school year; however, because students' meal status is also used to determine the LCFF (Local Control Funding Formula) funds that schools receive each year, the district needs to collect this information another way. Starting this week, the PTA is sending home codes to every Franklin student to access the Open eBook lending library, a free K-4 (or 5-8 depending on grade) lib...rary that doesn't require a library card or use checkouts or holds. Open eBook features thousands of popular books in a collection designed help kids discover a love of reading. You can download Open eBook to any mobile device using iOS 7 or later, or Android equivalent; when using the app, standard data rates will apply.
