The French Dual-Language Immersion Program as a "school choice" option at Frank D. Parent School allows children to learn in research-driven, innovative and effective ways by immersing them in two languages and cultures. Young children are developmentally hard-wired for language acquisition in meaningful contexts, Immersion in French and English from Kinder through 8th grade gives children the opportunity to learn a second language the same way we learn our native language--by living it. You’re Invited! Our Neighborhood Community Door-Knocking March is Saturday, March 17th! IUSD has scheduled many events and is participating in multiple initiatives to transform the district. The Community March is one activity, scheduled in phases based on geographic location, which will be extended to all school locations. During the March, we are focusing on Oak, Crozier and Inglewood High School. We need your help to spread the word on all of the new opportunities in IUS...D. We tell our story best and it must be shared with the community. These outreach campaigns will help to raise our profile, create a positive image and attract students to the district. I hope you can come! If you would like to add anything to our gift bags that we are providing to our community, please drop off items at the Inglewood Unified School District or send to 401 S. Inglewood Ave. Inglewood, Ca. 90305. Can you spare 2 hours on Saturday morning? If so, please RSVP so we can know who is coming! Dress comfortable and wear your tennis shoes! Morning refreshments, water and a light lunch will be available, but you need to RSVP!
