The International Office’s mission is to aid international students to achieve their educational aspirations and achieve success in the FPU community. Enhancing cultural and global perspectives with mutual respect to bridge the gap between domestic and international students with the goal to bring cultural and global awareness. The International Office embraces and welcomes diversity, culture, and inclusivity in order to build an inclusive environment that recognizes and resp...ects people of all backgrounds and experiences. With today’s given situation, the International Office stands with our black community who are experiencing the recurring sense of pain. We extend our love and support to our black brothers and sisters in Christ of this institution who are one of the building blocks of making FPU truly a diverse place for learning. It was hard to live and study in a different culture and language, but the International office has been crucial to achieving my goal. Thank you so much for all your support and encouragement. We would like to congratulate another outstanding international student of ours for graduating. Congratulations! "Four years ago, I came to FPU to learn English, but they gave me the opportunity to complete my degree in Graphic Design as well as to go for my dream major, Psychology. FPU and IPSO have been one of my biggest blessings, and I am very thankful for each opportunity I have had through them. It was an honor to lead the International Club and to work with other inter...national students. Additionally, I enjoyed assisting the FPU community with Moodle through my work with the Center for Online Learning (COL) and learning more about social initiatives for the Central Valley in working with the Center for Community Transformation (CCT). We would like to congratulate Fellipe Oliveira for graduating! You did it despite the challenges. We, at the International Office, are so proud of you! We can’t wait what’s ahead of you! "It was not an easy journey but I made it! The life of an international student is not as simple as I imagined. Experiencing something completely new in a different country may be challenging, and the fact that we are in a place where we do not know many people, and your family is so far awa...y sounds scary. However, I made Fresno Pacific my family, while IPSO brought my home (Brazil) to Fresno, California. The international office supported me throughout my experience and helped to accomplish life goals. They also increased my cultural awareness as we shared experiences with students from many different countries. I am glad to have the International Office walking together with me during my Bachelor's degree, and I look forward to having them beside me while pursuing my Master's program at Fresno Pacific University.
