FPL provided the civil, structural, and electrical engineering design to install in-lane hardware, plaza hardware, communications conduit, and power conduit. Overhead in-lane equipment included Patch Antenna, Yagi Antenna, violation detection system (VDS), black-and-white and color CCTV cameras and lights, VDS light sensor, and the violation enforcement system for seven (7) toll bridges in the Bay Area. FPL’s design was approved by Caltrans District 4.

As the prime consultant, FPL was responsible for parking planning/design, parking configuration, handicapped parking, long term parking space designation and bus route assignment; and architectural, mechanical, and electrical design. FPL’s scope included parking lots, canopies, a new platform, bus bays, paratransit/dial-a-ride and van pool operating bays, a pedestrian underpass, a ticket machine, and passenger amenities consistent with SCRRA.
