Hebrews 4 1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. 2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.... The gospel is the good news of redemption through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. The great commission is 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: note 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: Believing the gospel won't save you. Application by being obedient to it's message is the Faith. The provision for salvation is given if you believe the message then you will do ehat God asks you to do to receive it. In the old testament those who yearly offered the substitutionary atonement mixed the gospel message with faith by doing exactly what God required. After the resurrection we are baptized in obedience to all things whatsoever I have commanded you. This is mixing faith with the message. The Faith a noun is the entire gospel message which began before the foundation of the world. We are saved by faith is a verb which is an action Word. Only those obedient to its message are saved by being obedient to the command of God in how to obtain his grace through faith. Thd just shall live by Faith. Luther went to far and Calvin off the cliff. Salvation is universal but conditional.

WHAT THE PALESTINIANS NEED MOST THEY IGNORE January 4th, 2013 WHAT THE PALESTINIANS NEED MOST THEY IGNORE... Consider the innovations that Israel has recently given to the world. In April 1999, the Israeli technology company M-Systems filed a patent for the very first thumb drive, revolutionizing the way information is stored and transferred. In 2009, Israeli scientists working alongside their counterparts from several European countries developed the first robotic prosthetic hand, the SmartHand, allowing the user to perform even delicate tasks such as playing the piano or dialing a phone. Meanwhile, the Palestinian leadership has refined skills of their own terror, propaganda and Anti-Semitism. Just last year a group of scientists led by an Israeli scientist produced the very first stem cells from endangered species, a breakthrough with the potential to rescue entire species of animals from the threat of extinction. The list goes on and the impact is immeasurable. The world is waiting for the Palestinian leadership to give up terror and embrace innovation. If they ever do, the opportunities are endless. In his book, Startup Nation: The Story of Israel’s Economic Miracle, Dan Senor lays out the impact of Israel’s innovative spirit. There are nearly 4,000 start-up companies found within Israel (population 7.8 million), second in number only to the United States (population 314 million). The Israel Effect has impacted economies around the world, in Ireland, Dubai and Singapore. However, if any people should benefit from the influence of the Israel effect it should be the Palestinians. Unfortunately, the Palestinian leadership has chosen to ignore the Israel miracle altogether. Instead of innovation the Palestinian leadership has clung to hatred and terror and its own people have suffered. Innovation means change. To make progress, to advance. Looking forward to Presiding Bishop Charles H. Ellis III to be at South Pacific District Council April 8th-14th in Rarotonga, Cook Islands this New Year. http://www.greatergrace.org/ Bishop Tutai Pere has a vision for greater advancement of the Gospel through missionary work. To support this endeavor every member is encouraged not only to attend the council which is a great sacrifice to save for flight, food, lodging to attend this event, but also to bring a $1,000.00 offer...ing to launch this last days harvest. For attending a council in the states it takes filling a tank of gas and driving to destination unless a flight would make it more convenient. To go from New Zealand, Australia, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, India, etc. the only way to go is to fly. I am glad to see that so many believe in and support the Bishops vision that they prepare every year to attend and this year doing whatever possible to fund raise for the work of the Lord. Please pray for this work as much of this work is in third world countries yet God is magnificently saving and performing miracles in so many lives. The "Jesus Only" baptism and oneness message of the Godhead is running like wildfire, while the fire of Holy Ghost baptism is being poured out. See more

Growth for the New Year Surround yourself with those that will challenge you to reach higher heights and will not always agree with your decisions. Pro_11:14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. ... Dangers of Homogeneous Group Decisions The more members of a group like and respect one another, the more probable it is they will make a poor decision. A well-known example of the dangers of this unhealthy group orientation took place during the John F. Kennedy administration. A faulty decision caused the defeat of American forces in the invasion of Cuba at the Bay of Pigs, embarrassing the President and the nation. President Kennedy had surrounded himself with a committee of some of the shrewdest advisors in the country. This group of experts didn't make a poor decision because of low IQs. They failed because they wanted to be liked by others in the group. They allowed friendship and loyalty to overwhelm their decision-making process. Advisors who were tempted to speak up in opposition to the attack decided against it out of fear of being disliked, or because they didn't want to waste everyone's time. In a memorandum written before the committee assembled, Arthur Schlesinger, one of the members of the Kennedy inner circle, acknowledged that he considered the invasion of Cuba a mistake. But he kept silent when he participated in the discussion. Robert Kennedy, the President's brother and the U.S. attorney general, got Schlesinger in the corner after discovering that he opposed the invasion. Kennedy put it bluntly, "Arthur, you may be right or you may be wrong, but the president has made up his mind. Don't push any further." Schlesinger kept quiet. The environment wasn't right for voicing dissent.

As we enter the New Year whose side are you on? The Dividing Line Lines are everywhere! There are lines in parking lots to designate the parking spaces. There are lines drawn at intersections so that pedestrians know where to cross the street. There are little, but important, lines drawn on rulers to show units of measure. There are lines drawn on baseball diamonds, basketball courts, and football fields to help the players and referees know if the balls, and players, are in ...or out. Lines can be very important. They help us know where we stand. We are either on one side of the line or the other. Exodus 32 tells us that Moses drew a line. Here's why: God's people had participated in a drunken party and had worshiped a golden calf. Drunken idolaters! Moses knew that God demands that people love, obey and worship only Him. In a very courageous move, Moses stepped in front of all those people and drew a line by saying, "Who is on the Lord's side? Let him come to me...." (Exo_32:26). That day, many crossed the line by standing with Moses and the Lord. Jesus, too, drew a line when He called those from the multitude to follow Him. Jesus' words make a very clear line: either you are for Christ or you are against Him. That same line exists today. We must decide on which side of that line we will stand. Many choose to stand on both sides of the line. And for those individuals Jesus replies, "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth" (Rev_3:15-16). There is no middle ground with the Lord. In fact, for those who try, it makes Him sick to His stomach. Take a stand on God's side. See more
