Last Monday, Pastor Chris spoke on James 5:7-11 about cultivating patience as we look to our sovereign God and the hope of heaven. We hope that you will join us on Monday, October 19, when we will continue our study in the book of James! Just a reminder, we will be having Community Night this Monday, October 12, so we will not be having our usual Monday night Foundry meeting.

After a little break, we are back in our series on James! Yesterday, Pastor Chris gave a recap of James 1-4. He reminded us from James that faith without works is dead, and warned against impartiality, worldliness, and not taming the tongue. We're so excited to start our SJSU Friday night campus Bible study this week! Invite your friends and join us at 7 PM on Zoom THIS FRIDAY, August 28 for our first meeting of the school year. Each week, we will study the Bible alongside other SJSU students and discuss how you can apply these truths during your time in college. Thank you for coming out to our first outdoor Foundry meeting last night! It was so great to come together and sing again, and to hear Pastor Chris speak on the importance of unity in the church that is rooted in Christ. Winter Retreat is just around the corner! Our topic this year comes from a simple, yet profound illustration of the church: a family. We are truly brothers and sisters brought together by the blood of Christ. At this retreat, we’re going to study what we do together as a family and why we do it. Specifically, we’ll be exploring the topics of encouragement, corporate singing, listening to sermons, and leadership. The family of God encourages each other at the deepest level, joins their voices to sing praises to God, develops unity by sitting under the truth of God’s Word, and receives care from God-ordained shepherds.
