Game Day. Every Monday and Wednesday our tballers will be playing at the Harold Field at the Middle School. Game starts at 5:30pm

Fort Bragg Girls Softball is getting ready for our 2021 season. This year will look a little different. At this time the California Department of Public Health will allow cohorts (teams) of up to 14 children and two coaches to get together for practices. We will not be allowed to play games until Mendocino County reaches the red Tier in the California reopening plan. All players, coaches and spectators will be required to wear masks. Equipment will be sanitized before and a...fter each team meeting. We will maintain social distance as much as possible. Players should not be brought to practice if they have a fever, are experiencing Covid symptoms, have a positive test, have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid or is experiencing symptoms. This year we are encouraging players to bring their own helmets. If a player does not have one FBGSA will issue them one for the season. As stated earlier we are unsure if we will be able to have games this year but we wanted to make sure that the kids have an opportunity to get together to practice their skills. Registration and coach forms can also be picked up at Rick Friar Insurance Agency (Farmers Insurance office at 153 N Main Street in Fort Bragg). The fees this year are $55.00. Our season will run from March 22nd Through May 28th. We are looking for COACHES please contact us and let us know if you are interested in coaching. We continue to monitor the California Department of Public Health guidance an will update and adjust the season as we progress

Current Board Members have been assessing our county’s COVID guidelines and want your input. At this point guidelines would allow us to hold practices beginning in March. We would have two coaches per team and no more than 14 players. While our county is in the purple tier teams would only be allowed to meet for ...practices. If we move into the red tier we would be allowed to have inter league play. There is a possibility that we would go all season without games if our county stays in the purple tier. In order to move forward we need help! Please fill out this survey so we can find out if we have enough interest to host a 2021 season. Due to the continued surge in COVID-19 infections, the California Department of Public Health has postponed the issuance of its updated youth sports guidance. FBGSA does not expect the CDPH will issue any guidance allowing for us to return to full practice and or games during the surge.Thus, all full practice and competition start dates are officially on hold until updated guidance is FBGSA is confident this decision is a necessary and reasonable action for our student-athletes, board members, and volunteers. In light of the current statewide crisis. This revision to the FBGSA 2020-21 season calendar offers our League the flexibility and needed time to plan for the return to practice and competition once updated guidance is provided by the CDPH
