Forestville families, We are excited and looking forward to welcoming your students back to in-person instruction beginning Tuesday, April 20, if that is what you and your students are choosing for the rest of this school year. As we make that transition, we have set up some parent/guardian meetings by grade span and two meetings for EL parents for next Wednesday evening OR Thursday morning to share some very important information. If you are able to attend, you only need to... attend one of these meetings. There will be a series of slides to guide the presentation that will be posted to our website after the meetings are completed. They will be in English and Spanish The expressed goal of these meetings are to share expectations, protocols, and procedures, as well as give us time together to answer questions that are specific to your student's grade span. 8th Grade Forestville Families, Please read this important update from El Molino Vice Principal Dani Barese. As you may already know, our district voted to consolidate our two high schools and we are working to register students in the new system. Many families may already have completed course selections during one of our registration nights, but now is the time to place those requests officially into our Aeries student management system.... On April 7, the District will be holding an incoming 9th grade family night to explain how families will officially register for courses and to get some information on some new options. Below is a Zoom link for the event. During the event, emails will be sent out with more information and step by step instructions on the course selection process including the link the link families will use to access the system. Dear Forestville Families, As we move towards the end of the school year, we are working to finish the yearbook and get it submitted. If your student missed picture days, we will be trying to get their photo taken once they return to campus. If your child is not returning to campus and missed picture day, please contact Cisco Piazzo at [email protected]... We are also still looking for a few more entries for our yearbook cover contest. Please get your entry in by the end of the day Monday April 5th. Happy Friday, Forestville families. I wanted to share some important updates with everyone regarding some of the changes that have been made over the last couple of days for reopening school to in person instruction. Working together with our teachers, we have agreed to change the social distancing requirement for student workspaces to 3 feet instead of 6 feet. This will allow our students who are able to attend class in person to come back as one group (instead of the Group... A/Group B cohorts) on Tuesday through Friday from 8:30-noon. Mondays will continue to be for prep, planning, posting to online classroom platforms, meetings, as well as enrichment. Distance learning instruction for students that will remain in DL will be Tuesday through Friday from 1-3pm. If this change impacts your decision in any way regarding attending in person or remaining in distance learning that you indicated in the parent survey, please call the office and let us know. We will be happy to note that change. Regarding the reopening date, last night the Board approved the return to in person campus instruction for the week of April 19. That means that students who will be returning to campus for in person instruction will start back on Tuesday, April 20 at 8:30am for all grades Tk-8. I'm working on putting together a series of parent/guardian meetings based on grade span (Tk-2, 3-5, and 6-8) like we did back in August to go over schedules, expectations, protocols and procedures. As soon as those dates/times are finalized, I will send those zoom meeting links to you. Finally, I have attached the updated FUSD COVID-19 safety plan with the 3ft distancing changes and some updates to include the middle school students returning to campus too. I can't say thank you enough to all of you for your flexibility, perseverance, and fortitude this year. It has been a very wild ride (realizing that it isn't over yet) and we did it together! Please remember your Schoolwise online portal information needs to be updated ASAP, this information is vital for returning to campus. The Parent Portal is found at fusd.schoolwise.com. Let the main office (707-887-2279) know if you are having any issues with your portal sign-in. Forestville Families, Our regularly scheduled breakfast and lunch pick-up for tomorrow (Thursday November 12th) will be happening from the back door of the multi/kitchen instead of the front parking lot. Please use the Travis Rd. entrance, park in the bus circle and walk up to the multi back door. We ask that you please adhere to social distancing protocols and wear a mask.

There will be no distance learning on Wednesday November 11, 2020 in observance of Veteran's Day.

Don't forget -- tomorrow is picture day! If you did not get your picture taken at the beginning of the year or you want to do re-takes.... Hawkes photography will be in the Multi from 1:30 - 4PM.
