Happy Earth Day! We are so blessed to live on this beautiful planet, and today is a great reminder to take care of it. We have a new opportunity to share with you! The 2020 hurricanes completely devastated the Honduran coffee industry, and it will be affected for the next five years until the first harvest of the new crop. Most of our families receive their annual earnings in December through February by working on coffee farms. Because of the hurricanes, however, they are unable to find work during what would be the busiest time of year. Footsteps Missions is looking at land farming possib...ilities to set up a Farming Co-Op Program that will help families in the immediate future as well as long term. We will be setting the program up with local connections so that it will be a self-sustaining project. Please join us in prayer for the families affected as well as for guidance and direction for the cooperative farming program. We have already raised 80% of the funds needed for this project, and we’re hoping to raise the remaining 9k before summer. Happy birthday to our fearless leader! Daryl Smithgall is the director of Footsteps Missions, and we can’t thank him enough for all he does and all he continues to do in this ministry. In this picture, you can see Daryl showing the Garden 2 property to a short-term missions team and telling them the incredible dreams of how we would use it. Daryl’s passion for missions has changed so many lives over the years, and we can’t imagine where Footsteps would be without him!
