Cancer has hit our baseball family hard this year. Here is another family close to us at FFLL. Falelima has been a board member for the last 3 years or so. She has been going through treatments while taking care of a new baby. Please keep the Hinojos family in your thoughts and prayers right now. Their son Elias is at Shriners hospital with 2nd and 3rd degree burns. It sounds like they have a long road of recovery ahead of them. This is a long time family of our league.

To our baseball families. We bring you news with heavy hearts that the 2020 season is officially canceled for Foothill Farms Little League. We reached out to the county and they have informed us field use and youth sports are unlikely to happen until after the end of July at the very earliest. The league will be setting up a date to pass out uniforms and partial refunds (uniforms, banners and charter/insurance was already paid out of the registration fees) before May 31st. A... specific date and schedule for each team to pick up will be announced in the coming days. If your candy money or registration fees are outstanding your refund and uniforms will be withheld until your account is current. We will also try and gauge interest in fall ball during this time. We held out as long as possible hoping to play this spring. We can't wait for this to pass so we can come back prepared for a great 2021 season. Regards, Your 2020 Board

To keep adding insult to injury, Sunrise Park and Rec is taking county order and parks are closed for any organized event until April 12th 2020. So at this point we have to push back practices and Opening day until after April 12th

It is sad to inform you that Little League has suspended practices, games, and league gatherings until April 6th. If anything changes we will definitely let you know. Please stay safe and healthy during this time.

Our league is looking for an estimate from a licensed and insured fencing contractor. We try to support small businesses in our community. If you know someone or are a fencing contractor yourself please send us a pm with your contact information.

This is Marc Schneider, Umpire in Chief for the league. District 5 is hosting an umpire clinic this Sunday from 10am to 2pm at Rosemont Little League. This will be a great opportunity for those that we need help from each AA, AAA, Majors, and Juniors teams to learn the basics needed to umpire a game. I am still trying to set up a date for our league to run one at home. Please message us if you are available to attend and I will forward the sign up information to you.

As our season approaches setting the right tone from the beginning is important. Remember our board, managers, coaches, umpires, and team parents are volunteers. The players are our children. Support your team in a positive way each game and practice. Let's have a fun season.

Foothill Farms Little League is looking for any business or person that is able to sponsor a kid or two so they can play baseball. Times are tough and parents just can't afford to put their kids in sports. Any help would be greatly appreicated.

We still are looking for players aged 4-5 (tball) 7-8 (minor aa) 11-12 (majors) and 13-14 (juniors) we are almost maxed out in the 6-7 (minor a) and 9-10 (minor aaa) divisions. Sign your players up as soon as possible

Let's take a second to Congratulate our UIC Marc Schneider. He has been invited to umpire the Little League Western Region Tournament in San Bernardino in August. He has worked hard over the last few years to make it to this point. Not an easy task for anyone, hard work does payoff. Foothill Farms Little League is lucky to have him and we support him during this big opportunity

Don't forget to register your kids, there is only a few weeks left before teams are formed and practices begin. We have an in person registration tomorrow at Robert Frost Park from 8:30am-12pm during our first session of assessments.

All managers and coaches divisions AA, AAA, Majors, and Juniors are required to attend both days of this amazing clinic. If you plan on coaching in these divisions please register today. Contact our UIC Marc Schneider through the league messenger for our league code to enter at registration.

ASSESSMENTS & IN PERSON REGISTRATION this Saturday, JANUARY 11th & next Saturday, January 18th If you have a player in Minor A, Minor AA, Minor AAA, Majors or Juniors, they will need to attend ONE assessment. All players must be fully registered prior to participating in the assessments. **Please complete registration online before Saturday. There will be a registration table at both assessments, as well. In person registration Will be available ~8:45am ~ 11:30am.... ASSESSMENT SCHEDULE JANUARY 11th and JANUARY 18th 8:45 am - 10:00 am : Minor A - Minor AAA 9:45 am - 11:00 am : Majors 10:45 am - 12:00 pm : Juniors It is important that players arrive on time and ready to begin. Check-in will begin promptly at the start times and assessments will begin promptly on the hour. Players will need a glove and cleats. They may also bring their bat or helmet if they have one. We need volunteer umpires and this is the best training around for that. We will require that Managers and Coaches in Minor AA and above attend this clinic. Please contact Marc Schneider via messenger on this page so he can help you get signed up. We have a code for our league to use at registration. We also need junior umpires league age 11 and up to attend this clinic to be eligible to umpire the lower division games.

I want to thank the league for supporting my growth as an umpire. I was fortunate to spend last week training with the best instructor team Little League has to offer world wide. To be able to bring back 5-1/2 weeks of professional umpire school packed into 7 days allows me to teach our league umpires the most current mechanics and skills available is amazing. 12-14 hour days packed with classroom, field mechanics, and building muscle memory. I would recommend this to anyone thinking about umpiring. The West is truly the best. I look forward to umpiring games in the 2020 season for our league. Register today for this umpire clinic for 2020. All junior umpires, managers, and one other adult from each team need to attend to keep our volunteer umpire program going. We're hosting FIVE free clinics this fall! Our first clinic will be next Saturday, September 28, 2019!! All clinics will be at Robert Frost Park from 9am - 12pm.... Tball level players will be from 9am - 10am. Future clinic dates are: October 12 October 26 November 9 December 7 Bring your players to brush up on their baseball skills and invite friends to learn! WE ARE RECRUITING COACHES, MANAGERS, AND UMPIRES for next spring. If you were a previous coach/manager or are interested in volunteering next season, we'd love to have you at the clinics!! We will never forget

Unfortunately we will not being doing Fall Ball this season. We didn't get enough interest to form teams. We will being running a few more clinics than usual.

Registration closes this Friday 8/23/19! We are still in need of players in all Divisions so if you know someone who would be interested please share this post and have them register ASAP.

You still have time to register, we have low numbers right now and if we can't get enough to field a team we will cancel that division for Fall Ball.
