Thursday 13th, August Hello dear friends, As we near the end of another week, I want you to have a worry- free weekend. Nice thought, but how does one do that? Well, Jesus had something to say about worry in Luke 12:22-25. Luke 12:22-26... I tell you not to worry about everyday lifewhether you have enough food to eat or enough clothes to wear. For life is more than food, and your body more than clothing. Look at the ravens. They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds! Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And if worry can't accomplish a little thing like that, what's the use of worrying over bigger things (that you have no control over)? For some people worry is their best friend. If that’s the case, it’s probably time to find a new friend! You and I have little control over the world in which we live and worry is ultimately a control issue. It can also be a litmus test for our faith. Do we really trust Jesus with the things we worry about? God never created you to carry the burden of worry. Instead, He has given us prayer. You see, as you pray over and release the things that worry you, Jesus will grant you His supernatural peace. Peace is much easier to live with. So pray a lot today, especially when you start to worry and place your concerns in God’s capable and loving hands. It's a wonderful recipe for a great weekend! Much love, Pastor Dave

Wednesday, 12th, August Hi everyone! Have you ever wondered why God has surrounded us with such a beautiful creation? Living here in the mountains I’m wowed by what I see every morning. In light of this, our scripture today is found in Romans 1:20. Romans 1:20... For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualitieshis eternal power and divine nature. Creation exists as a love letter from God. Thru it we see the visible expression of His invisible qualities. We are in awe of His powerful ability to create such wonders and we’re reminded that if God could create beauty in this fallen world, just imagine what awaits us in eternity? So, rather than worship nature as so many people do today, cherish it as a love letter from Jesus who created you and looks forward to being with you forever. Have a blessed day, Pastor Dave

Tuesday 11th, August Hello dear friends, Our world system promotes so many strange and unsettling ideas these days. People don’t know who they are. They lack meaning in their existence and the empty philosophies of our culture have left them spiritually devastated. No wonder so many are becoming increasingly angry and cynical. It’s a sad reality, but You don’t have to go there! In Jesus we know who we are, why we are here, and where we are going; but we need to be reminded o...n a daily basis so that we are not deceived by the false messages of our culture. In Colossians 2:6-7 Paul exhorted his readers to do the following Colossians 2:6-7 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. You’ll note that the end result of building your life around a relationship with Jesus and the wisdom of His word is strength and thankfulness and isn’t that we all want to be- strong and thankful. I think thankful people are effective witnesses to the reality of Jesus. So let your spiritual roots grow deep and be one of the strong and thankful today. The world needs you! Blessings, Pastor Dave
