CARPINTERIA & MONTECITO LIBRARY STUDY WHAT ARE THE OPTIONS FOR THE FUTURE? PUBLIC MEETING AUGUST 19TH AT 5:30 PM On August 19, 2020 at 5:30 p.m., the City of Carpinteria’s Ad Hoc Library Committee and Working Group will host a presentation on the future of library service in Carpinteria and Montecito. The study, prepared by the consulting firm MJ Gómez Associates, is available on the City of Carpinteria's website at https://carpinteria.ca.us//uploads/2020/08/8FINAL_DRAFT....pdf The consultant’s recommendations are based on dozens of interviews with local community stakeholders, representatives from the Friends of the Carpinteria and Montecito Branch Libraries, and current and former elected officials. This fundraiser is a way for our friends and family to contribute to the Friends of the Montecito Library in celebration of all of our June birthdays!

The Montecito Library, along with all of the SBPL's, will be closed through April 5, due to the current public health concern.
