Folk Coffee

Exploring the world of coffees. There is much to discover. The art of roasting has it's way of throwing you head first into the deep of each particular coffee. What nuances does it behold? Are we the game changers that we call ourselves to be? Roasting is no easy feat. It's a head ache. I've had to dump pounds of coffee, just to learn how to get the coffees full expression. Failure has been a friend, an enemy and a broker. I am happy I can say I am reaching my goals. Slowly yet surely, one head ache after another. Buts it's all worth it.

It's not often I share my story of how I got into coffee. I've had the dream to bring community together in a simple way and to open a coffee shop where that can happen naturally. The name Folk was inspired by seeing the way people do life together. It isn't always easy pressing towards that, since I never grew up with a strong community structure. For the last five years I've had to push through some personal walls. My love for people and creativity pushed me forward and I f...eel closer to my dreams than ever. Coffee was introduced to me through a friendly gesture. This same way coffee has given me the opportunity to meet some really amazing people in the industry who have helped me reach my goals and stir this passion. In the near future I would like to work closely with a coffee farm. The people over at @vervecoffee have really set an example of how to generate sustainable living for these farmers, which is one of my dreams. For now I will keep educating myself how to make this a reality. See more
